American businessman Joe Keller made his living selling airplane parts to the army during World War II. When he knowingly sold a batch of defective parts it resulted in the death of 21 men. His crime, long deflected by blaming his business partner, comes to light when his son Chris, unaware of his father’s guilt, returns with plans to wed the imprisoned partner’s daughter. Inspired by a true story, Arthur Miller’s first successful play stands as a provocative and electrifying piece of American drama.
