Alice by Heart at Sussex County Community College

Sussex County Community College presents “Alice by Heart,” a touching musical inspired by Alice’s Adventure in Wonderland, with music by Duncan Sheik, Lyrics by Steven Sater, and book by Steven Sater and Jessie Nelson.  In the rubble of the London Blitz of World War II, Alice’s life is turned upside down and takes refuge in a tube station where she confronts grief, loss and love with the help of her favorite book, Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland.

The musical is directed by Alex McCully, music direction by Dr. Deborah Gianuzzi, choreographed by Kimberly Jackson, stage managed by Jodi Halteman, and produced by Allison Ognibene.

Show dates are Friday, July 19 at 7 pm; Saturday, July 20 at 2 pm and 7 pm; Sunday, July 21 at 2 pm. Tickets are $15 general seating and $10 for students, seniors and US military. Sussex County College is located at 1 College Hill Road, Newton, NJ 07860.
