Through the combined sponsorship of the County of Union, City of Rahway, and the Union County Performing Arts Center, a free concert version of the award-winning musical revue, Aint Misbehavin', will be presented at the UCPAC Main Stage. This event kicks off a month-long celebration featuring programming honoring Black History Month. Aint Misbehavin' pays tribute to the black musicians of the 1920s and 30s Harlem Renaissance, an era of growing creativity, cultural awareness, and pride. The music of Thomas Fats Waller is showcased in this high-energy, fun-loving musical. Rising to fame during the Golden Age of the Cotton Club, he introduced a new form of music called "swing." This show takes a look at the African American experience through its superb humor and brilliant vocals that helped Fats rise to international fame. Ain't Misbehavin' takes title from the 1929 Waller song of the same name.Director Khy GarnerConductor Bruce De La Cruz
