Join the Adelphi Orchestra for a special concert celebrating the 50th anniversary of Dmitri Shostakovich presented by the Ramapo College School of Contemporary Arts. ! Under the direction of conductor Kyunghun Kim, the evening begins with the world premiere of Between the Suns, composed by Gilad Cohen. This orchestration of his award-winning Ten Variations sets the stage for a mesmerizing program. Next, Carl Maria von Weber’s Concerto for Clarinet No. 2 in E-flat major, Op. 74, will be performed by clarinetist Kingsley Hsieh. The night concludes with Shostakovich’s Symphony No. 1 in F minor, Op. 10—a groundbreaking early work by the composer.
