Wynonna & the Big Noise: Stories and Song

Country music legend Wynonna Judd comes to Mayo Performing Arts Center as part of Wynonna and the Big Noise: Stories and Song tour on Thursday, March 3, 2016 at 8 pm. Come experience incomparable artistry as she and her band take you on a musical journey starting at the beginning with her mom as The Judds to her illustrious solo career to unprecedented new music from Wynonna & The Big Noise. Tickets are $29 - $59.

Patty Griffin, Sara Watkins & Anais Mitchell: Use Your Voice Tour
Thursday, March 3, 2016 at 8 pm

Grammy Award-winning folk singer Patty Griffin joins forces with Sara Watkins and Anais Mitchell in a celebration of American songwriting at Mayo Performing Arts Center, Thursday, March 3, 2016 at 8 pm. The Use Your Voice Tour is a special "singers-in-the-round" style show that features all three artists on stage together, sharing songs for the entire evening. Tickets are $29 - $69.

Los Lobos in Fiesta Mexico-Americana
Featuring Special Guests Ballet Folklorico Mexicana
Saturday, March 5, 2016 at 8 pm

Los Lobos, the Grammy winning East L.A. legends and 2016 Rock and Roll Hall of Fame nominees comprised of David Hidalgo, Louie Perez, Cesar Rosas, Conrad Lozano and Steve Berlin, are going back to their roots with a series of special performances with the iconic dance troupe Ballet Folklorico Mexicano de Carlos Moreno (BFM) on the Fiesta Mexico Americana Tour. The performance will be at Mayo Performing Arts Center on Saturday, March 5, 2016 at 8 pm. Los Lobos will integrate live performances of both traditional Mexican folk songs and selections from their repertoire-"La Pistola y El Corazon" in particular-with the vibrant performers of the BFM. They'll seamlessly share the stage, presenting popular traditional folk pieces from the regions of Guerrero, Veracruz, Tamaulipas and Chihuahua. Each ensemble will also individually perform their own artistic creations which have evolved from their Mexican-American experience. Both groups will demonstrate their dedication and commitment to exploring and honoring Mexican Folklore. Tickets are $39-69.

Ladybug Girl and Bumblebee Boy
Sunday, March 6, 2016 at 1:30 pm and 4:00 pm

The lively new musical "Ladybug Girl and Bumblebee Boy," flies on to the stage at Mayo Performing Arts Center on Sunday, March 6, 2016 at 1:30 pm and 4 pm. Based on the popular picture books by David Soman and Jacky Davis, "Ladybug Girl and Bumblebee Boy" celebrates the power of imagination and promotes a sense of adventure and exploration of the world around you. Tickets are $12 - $15. Recommended for ages 4-10.
