Fair Moon Stages presents "Wishes & Dreams: A Celebration of the Music that Animates our Lives" on Sunday, November 4th,, 3pm, at The Union County Performing Arts Center in Rahway, NJ. A 30-piece orchestra and 20 vocalists performing delightfully familiar songs from animated movies highlight the concert. The event is a benefit for the company, whose mission is to present accessible and professional theater at affordable prices. Their well-received inaugural season included Disney's High School Musical, Legally Blonde and the NJ premier of Mamma Mia.
Several well known professionals will be lending their talents to the November 4th concert. Willy Falk, who returns to Fair Moon Stages after appearing as Professor Callahan in last season's Legally Blonde, earned a Tony Award nomination for his portrayal of Chris in the original Broadway production of Miss Saigon. His other Broadway credits include: Starlight Express, LES MISERABLES and Marilyn. Shanice Williams, best known for playing Dorothy in NBC's The Wiz: Live!, has just made her Off-Broadway debut in Little Rock by Rajendra Ramoon Maharaj. Also featured are Allison Siko (Law & Order: SVU), Eddie Egan (Radio City Christmas Spectacular), Michael Gioia (creator of Bitching & Belting at Fienstien's/54 Below), Jon Martens (National tour: Kinky Boots), Miriam Baron, Nathaniel Dolquist, Julie Galorenzo, Shari Gil, Maleesa Lamatina, Tyler Lynch, Zach Miller, Rachel Raeon, Jenna Rose, Rob Ryan, Vanessa Sierra, Daniel Sims, Alexandra Vecchio & Adianna Von Wiegand.
"Wishes & Dreams..." was created to entertain the entire family. Younger audience members are encouraged to come dressed as their favorite animated character and everyone is invited to arrive early for special activities located in the lobby. The concert is in partnership with the Encore Orchestra of New Jersey, a professional orchestra under the music direction of Ilene C. Greenbaum.
