WCBS FM Presents A Valentine's Evening of Memories at the Bergen Performing Arts Center in Englewood on Friday, February 13th starring Bobby Rydell, Charlie Thomas' Drifters, Shirley Alston Reeves and Randy and the Rainbows featuring Randy Safuto.
Former teen idol Bobby Rydell will sing his string of hits including Kissin' Time, Wild One and Volare. Philadelphia born Rydell ruled rock and roll in the 1960s with 34 Top 40 hits and went on to star in the movie Bye Bye Birdie, the stage production of West Side Story and was a regular on many TV shows including American Bandstand. Now, more than fifty years later, Bobby Rydell continues to be an overwhelming concert success. Since The Drifters were founded in 1953, there have been a number of singers who have come and gone, but there is only one singer whose voice is on all of The Drifters greatest hits, Charlie Thomas.
