Two River Theater Company, under the leadership of Artistic Director John Dias and Managing Director Michael Hurst, continues its season with the world premiere of Madeleine George's Seven Homeless Mammoths Wander New England, directed by Ken Rus Schmoll. Performances will begin in Two River's Marion Huber Theater, 21 Bridge Avenue, on Saturday, October 15 and continue through Sunday, November 13, which includes a week-long extension due to audience demand. The press performance is Saturday, October 29 at 8pm.

Tickets are available from 732.345.1400 or www.trtc.org. Single ticket prices start at $37. Discounts are available for groups, seniors, students, and patrons aged 30 and under. This play contains adult language and content and is recommended for mature audiences.

An "academic sex comedy," Seven Homeless Mammoths Wander New England takes place in a small university town, where Dean Wreen's college is in dire financial straits. The school has announced that it will close its Natural History Museum, and Dean Wreen has to deal with the shock waves that are spreading across campus-and the pages of the local newspaper. At the same time, her ex-girlfriend, Greer, has come back into her life, complicating her new relationship with her much younger girlfriend, Andromeda. Two prehistoric college students, meanwhile, take us through the history of human relationships, without ever moving a muscle. And The Shadows of seven about-to-be-homeless mammoths loom over everything.

Featured in the cast are Lauren Culpepper (Early Man 2), Mercedes Herrero (Dean Wreen), Jon Hoche (Early Man 1), Deirdre Madigan (Greer), Flor De Liz Perez (Andromeda), and Joel Van Liew (The Caretaker).

Artistic Director John Dias says, "Seven Homeless Mammoths Wander New England weaves together screwball comedy and academic satire with a truly profound view of contemporary relationships and the different ways that people make a family. In her writing, Madeleine George evokes Shakespeare's romances and wittily references popular culture, with a spin that is fresh and original. I think this is an extraordinary play, and we have assembled an exceptional group of artists to work on it, led by director Ken Rus Schmoll. After having developed the script in a workshop last season, I'm thrilled to produce this world premiere as the first play in Two River's new Marion Huber subscription season."

Madeleine George (Playwright) is a founding member of the Obie Award-winning playwrights' collective 13P and the author of The Zero Hour and Precious Little. Her work has been produced and developed by Clubbed Thumb, Soho Rep, Playwrights Horizons, New York Theatre Workshop, and theaters around the country. The recipient of many awards and fellowships, including the Princess Grace Playwriting Award, she is a resident playwright at New Dramatists and an alum of the Soho Rep Writer/Director Lab and the Lark Playwrights' Workshop.

Ken Rus Schmoll (Director) is an Obie-winning director who has worked primarily on new plays, including the world premieres of Will Eno's Middletown and Annie Washburn's The Internationalist. He has directed for companies including Vineyard Theatre, Lincoln Center Theater/LCT3, and Clubbed Thumb, where he is an Affiliated Artist. His recent credits include FUREE in Pins & Needles, a version of Harold Rome's 1937 musical Pins & Needles, co-produced by the Foundry Theatre and Families United for Racial and Economic Equality (FUREE).

The creative team for Seven Homeless Mammoths includes scenic designer Arnulfo Maldonado, costume designer Kirche Leigh Zeile, lighting designer Matt Frey, and sound designer and composer Ryan Rumery. The casting is by Zoe E. Rotter and the stage manager is Julia P. Jones.
