As seen and heard on PBS, Disney and XM Kids, the Imagination Movers are rising stars in the world of kids entertainment because they brilliantly combine pop music, education and fun! Clad in their trademark blue coveralls, these hard-working entertainers started writing music for their own children and now dazzle families worldwide with high-energy rock and interactive live shows. The Movers' three audio CDs, "Eight Feet," "Calling All Movers" and "Good Ideas," and video DVD "Stir It Up" have earned a combined 14 national awards. Tickets are Tickets: $59, $45, $39, $29. Since signing to Walt Disney Records, the Imagination Movers have sold more than 100,000 albums, received multiple awards and earned critical praise from the Associated Press, Entertainment Weekly and many other media outlets. Their newest release, In a Big Warehouse, the soundtrack for the second season of the television series, hit the charts this fall, debuting at #2 on Billboard's Top New Artist Albums chart and bowing at #3 on Billboard's Children's Chart.
In addition, the Movers have recently shared their story and music with viewers across the nation appearing on The View, Live with Regis & Kelly and Good Morning America. Their unique brand of smart, high-energy pop was described in the New York Times as "prized by many parents for non-condescending lyrics and music that evokes the Beastie Boys or Red Hot Chili Peppers."
The Imagination Movers television series, which features the blue-suited band as brainstormers working hard to solve "Idea Emergencies" in their Idea Warehouse, is a hit with audiences around the world, airing in over 55 countries/territories and in 12 languages since September 2008. The Movers are currently filming the third season of the series and recently filmed a concert in their hometown of New Orleans with some very special guests. Season three of the series and the concert special will air in 2011. Imagination Movers airs daily during Disney Channel's Disney Junior programming block for preschoolers.
The Imagination Movers are Collins, a former journalist and father of five; Scott Durbin, a teacher and father of two; Dave Poche, an architect and father of two; and Scott "Smitty" Smith, a New Orleans firefighter who was part of the Hurricane Katrina search and rescue effort.
