Fans of "The Rocky Horror Picture Show" will be happy to hear that the Eagle Theatre in Hammonton, N.J., plans to show the cult classic four times, including two midnight screenings during the opening weekend of its live musical production of "Little Shop of Horrors."
"We love seeing the fans come out every year, especially those in costume," said theatre manager Tom Blemings. "For a really special night, get the combo pass to 'Little Shop of Horrors' and 'The Rocky Horror Picture Show' on November first or second."
The film is a musical tribute to the sci-fi and horror "B" movies of the 1940s to 1970s. It gained notoriety as amidnight movie in 1977 when audiences began participating with the scenes on-screen. Since then, it has amassed a devoted following around the world and continues to be the longest-running theatrical release in film history.
Tickets to the movie include a prop bag so that audience members can enjoy the full interactive experience. Because of this, the theatre requests that patrons do not bring outside props.
