The Players' Guild of Leonia presents:
HIGH SOCIETY
The Philadelphia Story. Book by Arthur Kopit. Music and lyrics by Cole Porter. Directed by Chris Watson. Musical Director - Kerr Lockhart. Choreographer - Tabitha Boulding.
Shimmering with 18 songs from Cole Porter's most beloved musicals, High Society, the Musical is a high energy stage adaptation of the 1950's movie that starred Frank Sinatra and Bing Crosby. The fast-moving story centers on a comically pretentious Oyster Bay wedding in June, 1938. Hilarious romantic complications revolve around the bride-to-be, her parents, and a smitten tabloid reporter. Colorful production numbers capture all the magic of Cole Porter's timeless lyrics.
