"Live music, live audience... that's a performer's dream. It's exciting and rewarding to give emerging talent a platform to showcase themselves and broaden their audience. We can't wait to hear everyone," says Charlie Lagond, co-founder and Music Director of Lagond Music School.
The competition, now in its fourth year, is designed to showcase young talent, ages 26-years and younger, in New York's backyard and is open to residents of Westchester, Rockland, Putnam, Fairfield, Bergen and the Bronx.
Lagond Music School is dedicated to contemporary music education and live music performance, serving a diverse community of students throughout Westchester County and the surrounding area. Our school has created an innovative, dynamic approach to music education, teaching contemporary music with the same rigor traditionally applied to classical training. This regimen, along with our parallel focus on live performance, promotes excellence of discipline, expression, commitment and achievement in our students. These experiences not only help Lagond students achieve their full creative potential, but are equally influential in their academic success and social achievements. To learn more, lagondmusic.org.
