The Eagle Theatre, located at 208 Vine Street in Hammonton, N.J., has successfully made it through its first production since opening its wine lounge. Obtaining a first-of-its-kind license from the state, audience members have had the opportunity to enjoy a glass of wine similar to venues in Philadelphia and New York City.

Partnering with the award-winning Sharrott Winery, patrons can select from five different varieties, including Tango Red, a dry merlot, and Reserve Chardonnay. Both have garnered numerous medals in international competitions, and are made from grapes grown on New Jersey's outer coastal plain.

Patrons may purchase either a half or full bottle of wine before the show or during intermission. They can take a glass in to enjoy during the performance and then return to their bottle after the first act, or, if they choose, take it home with them after the show.

"We did this for our patrons, for their enjoyment," says theatre manager Tom Blemings. "Anything that improves our audience's experience is our top priority."
