The Contemporary Art Group presents their multi-media show at the Mayo Performing Arts Center Art Upstairs Gallery,August 9, 2016 - September 12, 2016. A Meet the Artist reception will take place on Sunday, August 14, from 4 pm - 6 pm. The reception is free and open to the public.
The Contemporary Art Group (CAG) is a collegial organization of working artists who meet on a regular basis to advance their art interests. CAG is a supportive group where there is mutual respect among members, where members share ideas, provide information about exhibit opportunities, and describe their own artistic development. CAG is a cooperative in the sense that members share the work of running the organization, coordinating the shows, selecting venues for exhibits, transporting artwork, hanging and advertising shows, and hosting receptions. It is an organization that works because individual members work. CAG is an open organization, accepting as members individuals who share its goals and who are willing and able to help carry out its mission.
