The Black Box Performing Arts Center continues to emerge as the Tri-State area's premiere destination for both cutting-edge professional theater and collaborative performing arts education as it proudly presents a new production of the original comedy/drama Twist Of Faith in the heart of Teaneck, NJ - just a quick ride over the George Washington Bridge.

This newly revised production of the Off-Broadway hit is written and directed by Michael Gurin, and based on an original concept by Matt Okin. Featuring two extraordinary young professional actors, Mike Gardiner and Joseph Ramondino, Twist of Faith will play weekly, from Wednesday, March 22nd until Wednesday, May 24th at 8:30PM at Black Box Studios' new home, Teaneck's Black Box Performing Arts Center (200 Walraven Drive., just off Palisade Ave. (GPS: 290 Walraven Drive), Teaneck, NJ 07666. Most performances will be followed by an audience talk back with the performers and creative team.

In Twist of Faith, a wealthy young commodities trader completely indifferent to his Jewish heritage is forced to spend a Sabbath in the religious Jewish section of Boro Park, Brooklyn. Sam is surprisingly - and hilariously - moved by his Sabbath experience with Baruch, a nervous young Orthodox Jew who - following his encounter with Sam - has his own faith challenged by a series of life-altering events. As Sam re-evaluates his Jewish identity, he embarks upon a brand new life of religious observance while Baruch eventually decides whether or not to leave his faith behind. Throughout it all, the two men argue with passion, insight, and humor about the meaning of existence.

For nine months in 2001, Twist of Faith ran Off-Broadway in New York City after touring the United States and Canada from 1998 to 2000, visiting over 100 venues with audiences as large as 800. Its sequels, Second Chances and Destinations, both premiered at Manhattan's landmark Theater For The New City and subsequently enjoyed their own national tours. The long-running NY comedy, A Match Made In Manhattan: The Interactive Jewish Wedding Experience was inspired by the characters in the trilogy.

Twist of Faith plays the following Spring 2017 performance schedule:
