THE PIANO LESSON by August Wilson will play at the Attic Ensemble from February 18 through 27 on Fridays and Saturdays at 8 PM, Sundays at 3 PM and Thursday February 24 at 7 PM. The production will be directed by Judith Moss and is presented by special arrangement with Samuel French, Inc.

Bearing the ornately carved faces of her enslaved ancestors, Berniece Charles's antique piano is her family's most treasured heirloom. Though it sits collecting dust, the option to sell it for land sparks a fierce debate with her exuberant brother Boy Willie, a Mississippi sharecropper, who wants to buy the land that his family worked on as slaves.
