A FREE STAGED READING
MONDAY EVENING, JULY 25, 7:00

Join South Camden Theatre Company's Board of Directors
along with playwright Martin Lentz and director
Dan Hickey as our actors read Martin's play, THE FITTING.

The play takes place in Germany, late 1945. During the Allied bombing
of Germany a young child is killed. His father is missing on the eastern front.
His mother finds comfort with another man. When her husband's brother learns
of the relationship, a crisis ensues. She learns of her husband's fate and of
her own. "The Fitting" portrays people trying to somehow fit their lives
into a reality drastically changed by hatred, fear and loss.

This event is FREE and includes wine and cheese. We hope you will join
us for this exciting play reading event. Your comments will be welcome
at the end of the play as we discuss what we've seen with the actors,
director and playwright.

Martin Lentz was the playwrite of "D-Day Again", recently performed at
SCTC's Shadows of War theatre festival.

About the playwrite:

Martin Lentz is a Philadelphia-based playwright with degrees from
Ursinus College and Georgetown Law. He served on a merchant vessel
at sea and in the paratroops in addition to practicing law. His first play,
"The Recruiter", (of which no script survives) was produced at Ft. Bragg,
North Carolina. A one-act, "D-Day, Again", was produced by the South Camden Theatre Company and has been performed in Chestnut Hill, Bridesburg, northeast Philadelphia, Rosemont College and Wilmington, Delaware. His drama, Bad Girl, was performed at The Stagecrafters Theater
in Chestnut Hill. A staged reading of his drama Zone Two was produced by
the Creative Living Room in Swarthmore, Pennsylvania; a comedy, House Arrest, was read in Livingston, Montana; the drama, Foster Boys, was workshopped at the Horse Trade Theatre in the East Village; and a staged reading of Reunion was produced at The Painted Bride in Philadelphia.
