Gene & Shelley Enlow Recital Hall (Enlow Hall) at Kean University proudly presents the 2014-2015 concert season featuring a line-up of 11 performances. This season celebrates five years of bringing the world's leading musicians in classical, jazz, pop and world music to our stage.
Situated on Kean University's East Campus (215 North Avenue in Hillside, NJ), Enlow Hall is renowned for its superb acoustics and elegant design. The 300 seat Enlow Hall has been praised by noted performers and patrons for its intimate proximity between musicians and audience members. The 2014-15 lineup of great artists shows that Enlow Hall is the place to hear your favorite musicians.
Enlow Hall's Fifth Anniversary Season Opens with Sutton Foster September 27
Opening with Broadway's hottest star, two-time Tony Award winner and 2014 Tony nominee for her current role in the Broadway musical Violet, Sutton Foster performs our Opening Night event (Saturday, September 27 at 7:30 p.m.) as well as an additional matinee concert (Sunday, September 28 at 3 p.m.). This vocal powerhouse has taken the musical theatre world by storm, and now hear Sutton Foster in Enlow Hall as she performs Broadway showstoppers and cabaret-style ballads that showcase her powerful soprano, fantastic footwork and dazzling stage presence.
Enlow Hall's fall season continues with a cappella breakout band gaining international recognition on NBC's The Sing-Off Street Corner Symphony (October 5 at 3 p.m.), New Orleans Legends (October 25 at 7:30 p.m.) featuring The Preservation Hall Jazz Band and Allen Toussaint, Marsalis Well Tempered (November 1 at 7:30 p.m.) entitled "An Evening with Branford Marsalis" featuring The Chamber Orchestra of Philadelphia, and Arco Ensemble (November 23 at 3 p.m.) led by internationally renowned conductor Gerard Schwarz
Enjoy beloved holiday favorites when Vienna Boys Choir (December 6 at 7:30 p.m.) performs "Christmas In Vienna". Over the past six centuries, the famed Vienna Boys Choir has delighted music lovers across the globe with their purity of tone, distinctive charm and diverse, crowd pleasing repertoire.
Enlow Hall's spring season brings more dance to our stage than ever before with Tango Buenos Aires (February 15 at 3 p.m.), then continues with platinum recording artist and prolific songwriter Natalie Merchant (March 7 at 7:30 p.m.), Tomaseen Foley's "Irish Times" (March 15 at 3 p.m.) featuring world-class Celtic musicians and traditional Irish dancers, and Arco Ensemble "Under The Italian Sun" (April 19 at 3 p.m.). The season closes with five-time Grammy Award winner, multi-platinum recording artist Sandi Patty (May 3 at 3 p.m.) simply known as The Voice performing "Broadway Stories".
