Join the Marblehead School of Ballet (MSB) in celebrating the new spring season and its 47th anniversary at the annual ballroom and Latin dance party on Friday, April 5, 2019. Dancers of all levels, singles and couples, are invited to attend and participate in the festivities from 7:30 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. at 115 Pleasant Street in Marblehead, Massachusetts.
The party is open to the public. Bring friends and family to this annual dance celebration. See old friends and make new ones. No previous dance experience is required.
Throughout the evening, instructor Nancy Murphy provides mini lessons of Argentine tango, waltz, foxtrot, and salsa, among others, and provides tips to guests to help them with their dancing. Requests for music and dances are also accepted. Light refreshments will be served.
Dancing is one way to stay active, fit, and socialize. "Our guests have a lot of fun at our dance parties because they meet people with similar interests. They like the dance tips provided and the mix of music played to do a range of dance styles from Ballroom to Latin," said Paula K. Shiff, Marblehead School of Ballet director and recipient of Salem State University's 2009 Lifetime Achievement Award in the Arts.
General admission is $15. Admission for Marblehead School of Ballet students is $10. Tickets may be purchased online at http://bit.ly/MSBBallroomParty, with a convenience fee applied.
