Irish step dancing show Lord of the Dance has become an international sensation for more than 20 years. Now, choreographed by Michael Flatley with music composed by Gerard Fahy, Lord of the Dance: Dangerous Games combines dance and music that fuses the traditional with the contemporary in a classic tale that showcases the exceptional talent of the cast. The show features cutting edge technology including a giant radiant flat screen that spans the width of the stage, special effects lighting, dancing robots, and world champion acrobats.
Lord of the Dance premiered at the magnificent Coliseum in London two decades ago, and in 2014 Michael Flatley transformed the show making it even more thrilling than the original. Lord of the Dance: Dangerous Games, with music composed by Gerard Fahy, premiered at the iconic London Palladium in September 2014 to mark the milestone 20th anniversary since Flatley became an international sensation. The show has since gone on to enjoy hugely successful runs in the West End, Broadway, the U.S., Canada, Ireland, Germany, South Africa, Australia, New Zealand, and Mexico.
Michael Flatley is an accomplished dancer, flautist, actor, director, and producer. He first stepped onto the stage in 1994, when he changed the face of Irish dance with the sensation Riverdance. He went on the create Lord of the Dance which debuted at the Point Theatre in Dublin in 1996. Over the past 20 years his Lord of the Dance show has broken box office records all over the world. His name and Lord of the Dance brand have become synonymous with spectacular artistry and grand scale productions that have mesmerized audiences around the globe. Flatley premiered Lord of the Dance: Dangerous Games at the Palladium Theatre on London's West End in 2014 and moved to the Dominion Theatre and then to Broadway. Flatley embarked for his final tour in 2016 and performed for the last time on stage in Las Vegas, Nevada in March 2016. Flatley continues to be the show's creator, producer, and choreographer.
