Sharsheret, a national not-for-profit organization supporting young Jewish women and families facing breast cancer and ovarian cancer, will host its annual Jewel Circle cocktail reception on Thursday, November 17, 2016. This private event will welcome 150 women and men to New York City's 620 Loft & Garden at Rockefeller Center. Sharsheret will recognize Jewel Circle donors and its past president, Dana Norris. At the event, Sharsheret will announce this year's 64 Jewel families and debut a new video, Jewels in the Chain of Support.
"It is particularly meaningful for us to honor Dana for her eight years of dedication and commitment to Sharsheret at this landmark venue," said Executive Director Elana Silber. "Dana, a Senior Managing Director at Tishman Speyer, brings her personal experience and professional expertise to Sharsheret enabling the organization to receive national recognition from the cancer community, Jewish community and the federal government."
"Facing breast or ovarian cancer in silence can be a very lonely and isolating experience," said Guest of Honor Dana Norris. "Sharsheret fills a real void for so many women and families, providing the necessary tailored support they need. This event helps raise critical financial resources that allows Sharsheret to continue to grow and thrive, and we thank our many new and existing Jewel supporters."
Dana joined the Sharsheret Board in 2008, after meeting Sharsheret's Founder, Rochelle Shoretz A"H. Dana began her career as a management consultant at McKinsey & Co. in New York and subsequently has spent over 20 years in professional development and human capital management. Since 2002, she has been responsible for spearheading corporate culture and setting a cohesive vision for global leadership development at Tishman Speyer.
