You don't have to travel all the way to NYC in order to hear songs from theatre, jazz, Great American and International Song Books and classical stages performed by award-winning singers & instrumentalists. At Classic Quiche in Teaneck, NJ on the last Friday of each month, through November, Broadway Concerts Direct presents top performers in a cozy, intimate salon type setting, with an eclectic mix of musical styles and delicious food. -- All in one evening! "Imported" by Broadway Concerts Direct producer, John Hiller, BCD is hoping to turn this into an ongoing Salon series of musical treasures.

Sarah Rice, the winner of the 2010 Bistro Award and 2011 MAC Award (Best Female Vocalist), is also an opera singer with many impressive performing and stage credits. She was the original Johanna in Broadway's "Sweeney Todd" with Angela Lansbury, which won multiple Tonys and a Grammy and won Sarah a Theatre World Award. Sarah has performed in concert, shows and operas all around the world. www.SarahRice.com

This is an affordable evening of delicious food and exquisite music for the whole family. Each performance is is different.

BCD brings a different mix of performers every time from Manhattan. 20 of our performers were nominated for MAC (Manhattan Association of Cabarets and Clubs) Awards and 10 received awards. The singers and instrumentalists regularly perform in Clubs and theaters in Manhattan and internationally. The cast mingles with the audience during the intermission. The performers all choose their own songs, resulting in an interesting eclectic mix of styles. It is all about the professional, world-class level artists performing what they love, and including the audience in the adventure.

"If the glorious gods that govern cabaret were to take the coloratura vocal stylings and elegance of Barbara Cook, merge them with the earthiness and humor of Baby Jane Dexter, and wrap the whole package in a unique bundle of sparkle, the end result would without question be Sarah Rice -- a Broadway legend. And by the time Rice brings the evening to a close, the crowd gathered is not merely her fans but a worshiping cult." -- Andrew Martin, NightLife Exchange

This evening will feature a variety of songs ranging from favorite popular show tunes to classical and everything in between -- in other words, business as usual, sung and played by some of the most exquisite and riveting voices, instrumentalists and singing actors on the Broadway, music theatre and operatic stages today, performing Classical to Broadway, favorite classic show tunes, to popular, jazz, operetta and opera.
