ReVision Theatre a professional theatre company located in Asbury park, NJ announces their return to the historic carousel house on the Boardwalk for the summer productions of The Who's TOMMY, a World Premiere of a new musical THE BIKINIS followed by THE ROCKY HORROR SHOW in the fall. The Asbury landmark location that once housed the famous hand carved 100 year old carousel will be transformed once again into a 220 seat theatre, rocking the house for the summer beginning in July. This southwest jewel on the corner of Asbury/Ocean Avenue is steps away from the boardwalk and a short walk from Downtown Cookman Avenue shops and restaurants.

Producing Artistic Director David Leidholdt says "This is the perfect season of fun, edgy, and quintessential rock & roll". Producing Associate/Casting Director Alecia Brooks states, "This is going to be an exciting, diverse, music driven season. Audiences should be prepared to be blown away".

The summer location will kick off with the opening of The Who's TOMMY on July 9th with a preview on July 8th at 8pm. The show runs for three weeks and is based on The Who's rock-opera, Tommy. Peter Townshend's tale of a young boy's journey from pain to triumph is the most electrifying evening of rock and roll ever to play in a theatre! (After witnessing the accidental murder of his mother's lover by his father, Tommy is traumatized into catatonia, and as the boy grows, he suffers abuse at the hands of his sadistic relatives and neighbors. As an adolescent, he's discovered to have an uncanny knack for playing pinball, and when his mother finally breaks through his catatonia, he becomes an international pinball superstar). Book by Pete Townshend and Des McAnuff , Music and lyrics by Pete Townshend , Additional Music and Lyrics by John Entwistle and Keith Moon . The run of the show will be July 8th-25th. All performances will be at 8pm except for Sunday's at 7pm.

Revision Theatre is sure to bring theatre goers down memory lane with their second production, and there is no better place than the Asbury Park Boardwalk for The World Premiere of a new musical, THE BIKINIS. Opening night is August 13th with a preview on August 12th at 8pm. (It's the new millennium and The Bikinis are getting back together. That girl group from the sixties that everyone loves is bringing back the sun, fun and all the great songs they sang down on the boardwalk at the Jersey Shore... all to raise money for the good folks at Sandy Shores RV Resort on Florida's Gold Coast. In front of a live audience, The Bikinis, or "The Jersey Girls," relive their heyday and beyond, beginning the summer of 1964, the night these four inseparable girls got their name, winning the Belmar Beach Talent Contest, wearing their bikinis! The boardwalk was smitten with the 4 teens... Jodi and Annie, two sisters from Passaic New Jersey; Karla, their slightly manipulative first cousin from Philly; and best friend Barbara, from Staten Island. The most popular summertime songs such as "Under the boardwalk", "Danny Boy", "Polka Dot Bikini", and "These Boots are Made for Walkin" just to name a few, are featured in this new musical. The Bikinis was written by Ray Roderick & James Hindman With Musical Arrangements by Joseph Baker, Additional Music by Joseph Baker. Additional Lyrics by Ray Roderick. The run of the show will be August 12-22. All shows will be at 8pm except for Sunday's at 7pm.

There is not a better fit for October in Asbury Park than with the 3rd and final show of the season, THE ROCKY HORROR SHOW. Audience members are encouraged to come in costume. Opening Night October 22nd with a preview on Oct 21st at 8 PM. Written and developed by Richard O'Brian. (ROCKY tells the story of two clean cut kids, Brad Majors and Janet Weiss, who run into car trouble and seek help at the site of light down the road. Little do they know it's coming from the place where Dr. Frank N Furter is in the midst of his maniacal experiments. The play is a rock musical, a spoof of science fiction movies, and a bizarre story of seduction and sexual confusion). The run of the show will be October 21-October 31. All shows will be at 8pm except for Sunday's at 7pm.
