Princeton Summer Theater presents a thrilling new production of PatRick Hamilton's psychological drama, GASLIGHT. Originally presented in America as Angel Street, and immortalized by the 1944 film with Ingrid Bergman and Charles Boyer, this gripping play will keep audiences on The Edge of their seats from start to finish.
Gaslight takes audiences on a nail-biting journey through one couple's slow descent into chaos. Is Mrs. Manningham truly going mad in her London flat, or is her illness merely an illusion created by her husband? And where does Mr. Manningham disappear to every night, while mysterious noises sound from the Manningham attic? In this world of deceit and manipulation, no one can be trusted-even those with the potential to save the Manninghams from themselves.Starring Princeton Summer Theater Company members Sarah Paton (Mrs. Manningham), Evan Thompson (Mr. Manningham), Andrew Massey (Sergeant Rough), Maeve Brady (Elizabeth) and Ariel Sibert (Nancy). Directed by R.N. Sandberg, Princeton University lecturer in English, theater, and the Lewis Center for the Arts.Videos
