The New Jersey State Council on the Arts Literary Artist Fellowship Showcase features public performances of works from recipients of the New Jersey State Council on the Arts Fellowships in poetry, prose, and playwriting. Writers are chosen through a highly competitive national peer panel review process focusing on artistic merit. The Arts Council's Fellows are some of the best artists working in their genres.

Poets will perform their own works, prose writers have the option of performing their own work, or having a rehearsed reading with a professional actor, playwrights receive a rehearsed concert reading of their play.

The showcase is a collaboration between the New Jersey State Council on the Arts and Playwrights Theatre of New Jersey. Fellowships are awarded in a project co-sponsored by the New Jersey State Council on the Arts and the Mid-Atlantic Arts Foundation.

More about the program, including information of the writers and a schedule of readings, can be viewed on our website.
