The Bickford Theatre, 6 Normandy Heights Road in Morristown, NJ, concludes its 14th Season with the Off Broadway comedy hit, Greater Tuna, directed by Carlton James, running May 14 to June 7.

Written by Jaston Williams, Joe Sears and Ed Howard, this riotously funny comedy takes you through a typical day in the life of Tuna, the third smallest town in Texas, where the Lion's Club is too liberal and Patsy Cline never dies! The eclectic band of townsfolk, twenty in all, are portrayed by only two actors, the multi-talented and versatile Jim Ligon and Michael Irvin Pollard, who hilariously depict all of the inhabitants of Tuna-men, women, children and animals!

Jim Ligon most recently appeared at Playwrights Theatre in John Biguenet's Rising Water. At Playwrights, he's appeared in many productions and readings including Where the Sun Never Sets, The Good Girl is Gone, and Radium Girls. Last summer at the Shadowland Theatre, Jim was in Rounding Third and How I Learned To Drive. Other regional theatre credits include Greater Tuna (6 productions around the country!), Art, Waiting For Godot, The Au Pair Man, The Dining Room, the Foreigner and Speed The Plow. New York City credits include Skin Deep (World Premiere) at the Workshop Theatre, The Lizard of Tarsus (NY premiere) at Triangle Theatre Company, and Heathen Valley and A Woman Without A Name in the Romulus Linney season with Signature Theatre Company. Film and television credits include Law and Order: Criminal Intent, Guiding Light, and many national and regional commercials.

Michael Irvin Pollard returns to the Bickford Theatre for his fifth appearance, having performed in A Thousand Clowns, You Know I Can't Hear You When the Water is Running, Smoke & Mirrors, and Almost Maine. Other New Jersey theatre credits include Playwrights Theatre (Where the Sun Never Sets), the Women's Theatre Company (Art), the New Jersey Repertory Company (Ten Percent of Molly Snyder & Big Boys), and the George Street Playhouse (All My Sons & The Sunshine Boys). Regional credits include The Depot Theatre (The Memory of Water), the Shadowland Theatre (Rounding Third), the Pioneer Valley Summer Theatre (Driving Miss Daisy & Dracula) and the Cincinnati Playhouse in the Park where Michael was a member of the professional actor training program.

A special co-production with What Exit? Theatre of Maplewood, Greater Tuna plays at the Bickford Theatre Thursdays thru Saturdays at 8 p.m., Sundays at 2 p.m. There is a special added matinee on Saturday, May 23, with Lunch Packages available at one of the Bickford Theatre's partner restaurants, Cinque Figlie. The Bickford Theatre is conveniently located within the Morris Museum and offers free parking and full accessibility. Reserved seats are $35 for general Public, $30.00 for Senior Citizens, $28 for Guild/Museum Members, $27 groups of 10 or more, $15 Students 18 or under or with a valid college ID.
