Former Giants and Pro Bowlers Jessie Armstead and Antonio Pierce recently surprised Super Bowl Ticket contest winner and guidance counselor at Benjamin Beneker School in East Orange, Richard Greene. Armstead and Pierce, who co-own Englewood Cliffs Cadillac alongside automotive veteran Mike Saporito, launched the promotion in the fall giving away a pair of tickets to the Super Bowl XLVIII to be held on February 2, 2014 at Metlife Stadium. The promotion was opened to the general public via the Englewood Cliffs Cadillac Website and the winner, Richard Greene, was selected by random drawing. Armstead and Pierce visited Benjamin Beneker School to present Greene with the tickets in person as well as use the opportunity to pass along a few key messages to students of Benjamin Beneker School. Armstead and Pierce spoke with the students, grades K-8, about their own experience growing up, the importance of getting a good education, and the dangers of drugs and gang violence that they themselves encountered. "Make sure you seize every opportunity in front of you," said Pierce, "don''t take anything for granted." The former Giants stars also warned against bullying, echoing the sentiment of Greene himself who is a social worker by trade and big advocate of anti-bullying at the school. Upon receiving the award, Greene thanked Armstead and Pierce before triumphantly proclaiming to the crowd "I''m going to the Super Bowl!"
