Photo Flash: Breaking Through The Box Theater Company Presents William Shakespeare's TITUS ANDRONICUS

Breaking Through The Box Theater Company presents William Shakespeare's Titus Andronicus on June 9-11th in Mercer County Park for one weekend only. This production is the final show in Breaking Through the Box's inaugural season, and the first to be staged outdoors.

Be transported back in time in a tale about revenge and honor. Watch as this masterful cast tackles Shakespeare's first tragedy. A production so powerful and shocking, yet seldom done since the time of Shakespeare. This production takes on new meaning and political meaning as it challenges what it means to be a family, take revenge, and go to war. What are you willing to sacrifice to reserve the honor of the ones you love?

Directed by Artistic Director Justin Giachetti, the cast boasts a small ensemble of actors tackling a large array of characters: TITUS ANDRONICUS: Sam Gugino leads in the title role of Titus Andronicus, Liz Carlin plays Titus' daughter Lavinia, and Jake Diedrich plays Marcus Andronicus. Madelyn Reilly appears as Tamora, the Goth Queen, while Darin Frank Earl plays her lover, Aaron the Moor. Rounding out the cast are Deb Bjornsti, Dana Cavagnaro, Caroline Cromwell, Jimmy Kenna, Juliana Long, Lisa Sims, and Alec Skwara.

Viewer discretion for this production is advised due to violent themes, and recommended for ages 13+. Performances are Friday, June 9th at 6:30pm, Saturday June 10th at 2pm and 6:30pm, and Sunday June 11th at 2pm. In the event of inclement weather, a rain date is scheduled for June 18th at 2pm. Breaking Through The Box is a theatre company founded in summer of 2016 with the mission of being an active forum to cultivate new work, as well as a way for old work to be given new life. The company is led by Artistic Director Justin Giachetti, Executive Director Elizabeth Carlin, and run by Jonathan Edmondson, Jenna Moschella, Mikayla Petrilla, Joe Piserchio, Alex Skwara, and Sara Witter.
