Pattti LuPone to Bring FAR AWAY PLACES to New Jersey, San Francisco & More!

According to her official website, Patti LuPone will tour with her cabaret show, Far Away Places, in the coming months. LuPone will bring the show to San Francisico's The Rrazz Room (3/19-24), The New Jersey Symphony Orchestra (6/1-2), Broadway on the High Seas 3 on the Regent Seven Seas Voyager (8/4-14), and Carnegie Hall (11/7).

LuPone most recently presented Far Away Places at 54 Below. LuPone will perform a mixture of contemporary songs from the worlds of pop and Broadway, as well as a selection of Paris and Berlin cabaret songs from the 30's and 40's.

The author of the New York Times bestseller, Patti LuPone A Memoir, Ms. LuPone most recently appeared on Broadway opposite her Evita co-star Mandy Patinkin in An Evening with Patti LuPone and Mandy Patinkin and prior to that created the role of Lucia in the new musical Women on the Verge of a Nervous Breakdown (music and lyrics by David Yazbek), for which she was nominated for Tony, Drama Desk and Outer Critics Circle Awards. She is the winner of the Tony, Drama Desk and Outer Critics Circle Awards for Best Actress in a Musical and the Drama League Award for Outstanding Performance of the Season for her performance as Rose in the most recent Broadway production of Gypsy. Other recent stage credits include her debut with the New York City Ballet as guest soloist in their new production of The Seven Deadly Sins, Joanne in the New York Philharmonic's production of Company, her debut with the Los Angeles Opera in Weill-Brecht's Mahagonny, the world premiere of Jake Heggie's opera To Hell and Back with San Francisco's Baroque Philharmonia Orchestra, and Mrs. Lovett in John Doyle's production of Sweeney Todd (Tony, Drama Desk, Outer Critics Circle nominations; Drama League Award for Outstanding Contribution to Musical Theatre).
