Enter the laughter zone. "The Parental Advisory Comedy Show 2010: The Final Year" comes to Mercer County Community College's Kelsey Theatre on Saturday, Jan. 30 at 8 p.m. Hosted by comedian and actor Kyrus Wescott of Hamilton, the show will feature eight stand-up comedians who have performed around the tri-state region including clubs in New York City, New Jersey and Pennsylvania, as well as on television. Kelsey Theatre is located on Mercer's West Windsor campus, 1200 Old Trenton Road.

"Hilarity is our goal one more time, just as it has been for the past four years," says Kyrus, who originated the Parental Advisory show with MCCC classmate Josiah DeAndrea in 2006 and insists this is his final year as coordinator and host. A multi-talented alumnus of Mercer's Theatre program, Kyrus is a seasoned performer who has also written, produced and directed for the stage.

Kyrus notes that Parental Advisory has grown each year, attracting large and appreciative crowds. "This year's show promises plenty of new and outrageous material," he says. With a mix of Parental Advisory veterans and some new faces, the lineup includes Anthony Acquaviva; Gordon Baker-Bone from BET's Coming to the Stage Showcase; Dan Enfield from the Hollywood Improv; Joanne Filan from Carolines and Gotham Comedy Club in NYC; Mike Recine, winner of the Last Comedy Competition in Bayonne, NJ; Scott Schendlinger, an opener for The Daily Show's John Oliver; Joanne Syrigonakis, the Greek Goddess of Comedy; and Nick Z from the Upright Citizens Brigade. More information about the performers is available at http://kyruswestcott.viviti.com/parentaladvisory.

Tickets are $16 for adults and $13 for senior citizens and students. During the show, donations for the Kisses for Kyle Foundation, which benefits children with cancer, will be collected in the lobby. Tickets may be purchased online at www.kelseytheatre.net or by calling the Kelsey Theatre Box Office at 609-570-3333. Free parking is available next to the theatre. Due to adult language and themes, this show is intended for mature audiences only; no one under 18 will be admitted.
