The physical comedy ensemble Parallel Exit is back by popular demand. The Black Box hit returns with their new comedy, "Room 17B." Known for works which blend theatre, dance, and music, Parallel Exit celebrates the styles of Charlie Chaplin and Buster Keaton with a dash of Monty Python. "Room 17B" will run November 8th-11th in the Kutz Black Box Theatre.
Mark Lonergan, the Artistic Director of
Parallel Exit, is based out of New York but has brought the collaborative works of
Parallel Exit to theatres all over the world. Lonergan formed
Parallel Exit in 1997 to create original and innovative works of physical theatre.
The ensemble for "Room 17B" includes percussionist
Mike Dobson, dancer
Danny Gardner, performer and choreographer
Brent McBeth, and Joel Jeske who is a physical performer, director, teacher and professional clown who has appeared in major feature films and on television in Sex in the City, The Late Show with David Letterman, and Live with Regis and Kelly. Together, these performers bring a unique and memorable piece of theatre to Centenary Stage's Black Box Festival.
