Paper Mill Playhouse (Mark S. Hoebee-Producing Artistic Director, Todd Schmidt-Managing Director) is thrilled to announce a special performance on Friday, June 16, 2017 at 8:00pm featuring the 2017 Paper Mill Playhouse Broadway Show Choir in their fully-staged concert event "Paper Mill Sings" at the Hamilton Stage, 360 Hamiton Street in Rahway, NJ. This song and dance extravaganza will feature production numbers from popular Broadway shows including Newsies, West Side Story, Mary Poppins, The Wiz, A Bronx Tale, Disney's High School Musical, Annie, Sister Act, and more. The program will also feature pop favorites from Michael Jackson, Lady Gaga, ABBA and Pentatonix. This is the second year of Paper Mill Playhouse's featuring its newest ensemble Voices of Paper Mill, which will be performing 'extreme acapella' in the style of the recent "Pitch Perfect" films. The Paper Mill Playhouse Broadway Show Choir, presented by Overlook Medical Center, has toured the area at impressive venues including Lincoln Center, The Empire State Building, Sun Arena, MetLife Stadium, Paper Mill Playhouse, Bergen PAC, SOPAC and many more. The Paper Mill Playhouse Broadway Show Choir is an audition based, exhibition Show Choir that stems from Paper Mill Playhouse's award-winning Arts Education and Outreach programs. The choir consists of 70 singer/dancers between the ages of 15 and 22. The Paper Mill Playhouse Broadway Show Choir act as ambassadors to Paper Mill Playhouse with an array of performance opportunities throughout the community and beyond. Students selected to be a part of this talented group have to opportunity to fine tune their craft with free, intensive instruction with an array of public performance opportunities.
