Paper Mill Playhouse Announces 11 New Board Of Trustee Members

Paper Mill Playhouse (Mark S. Hoebee-Artistic Director, Mark W. Jones-Executive Director) is proud to welcome eleven new members to the Paper Mill Playhouse Board of Trustees. The Board of Trustees assists Paper Mill in achieving its artistic mission, financial goals, and national prominence. Their combined extensive management experience and dedication to the arts establish a diverse and prominent Board of Trustees for Paper Mill Playhouse.

The new board members are:

Jacqueline Brevard is the Vice President, Chief Ethics and Compliance Officer of Merck & Co., Inc. and leads the Merck Office of Ethics - a corporate function created to foster the Company's commitment to high standards of business ethics worldwide. Ms. Brevard received J.D from Rutgers University School of Law and an LLM in International Law from New York University School of Law.

Robert Cashill is the Vice-Chairman of the Investors Savings Bank Board of Directors. He served as President and Chief Executive Officer of Investors Savings Bank until his retirement in 2007.

Brian Clarkson is the former President and Chief Operating Officer of Moody's Investors Service of Moody's Corporation. Mr. Clarkson holds a J.D. from the University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill, as well as a B.S. in finance and B.A. in accounting from Ferris State College.

Timothy Gordon is Business Administrator for the Township of Millburn.

Lee Kappelman served as Interim Director of Development at Paper Mill until May 2008 and is a Vice President of Arts Consulting Group with over twenty-five years of experience in the performing arts field specializing in fundraising, business development, artistic representation, and television network programming. Ms. Kappelman has an M.A. in Theater and English from New York University and a B.F.A. in Theater and English from Boston University.

Dr. Deborah Phillips is the Executive Vice President of The Atlantic Philanthropies in New York. Dr. Phillips is based in New York and oversees the global Ageing Programme, Strategic Learning and Evaluation, and the Group Services functions including Communications, Finance, Human Resources, Information Technology, and Legal. Dr. Phillips received her Ph.D. in Organization Planning and Analysis from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in Cambridge, Massachusetts, and her Bachelor's degree from Goucher College.

Walter Santner now retired, had a career in broadcasting and public relations.

Sylvia Steiner lives in West Orange with her husband David Steiner. Mr. Steiner is Chairman of Steiner Equities Group, LLC based in Roseland, a real estate development company. Recent projects include Steiner Studios, a state-of-the art film and television production studio at the Brooklyn Navy Yard, and Palladium, a 750,000-square-foot corporate office park in Princeton. Steiner Studios has housed film productions including, The Producers, Inside Man, Spider-Man III, and Nanny Diaries.

Cynthia Stone serves as Chairperson of the Leadership Forum at the YIVO Institute for Jewish Research since 1990. Ms. Stone was Patient Care Coordinator, Utilization Management with Pru Care of New York until 1990. She served as Personnel Representative with the Visiting Nurse Association of Boston and as a Registered Nurse at the Veterans Administration Hospital in Bedford, Massachusetts, and Mount Sinai Hospital in New York. Ms. Stone received a B.A. in psychology from Brooklyn College and a B.S. in nursing from Downstate Medical Center.

Lana Gold Walder currently serves on the Board of the New Jersey State Council on the Arts. She has been a member of a number of working committees, including Grant, Appeals, Public Value, Arts Education and Vice Chair of Marketing, in addition to serving as Vice Chair of the Nominating Committee. Now retired, she was Associate Vice President for Sales in the New Providence, New Jersey office of the W. B. Wood Company, a professional office decorating company for 24 years. Ms. Walder served on the Board of Trustees at the Far Brook School in Short Hills from 1975 to 1982. In 2007, Ms. Walder was elected to the Board of Governors of the Crestmont Country Club in West Orange.

Kenneth P. Wenger is Senior Vice President with PNC Investments in Millburn.

Paper Mill Playhouse, a not-for-profit arts organization, is one of the country's leading regional theatres. Paper Mill Playhouse programs are made possible, in part, by funds from the New Jersey State Council on the Arts/Department of State, A Partner Agency of the National Endowment for the Arts, and by funds from the National Endowment for the Arts.
