The NJ Premiere of Robin Hawdon's comedy hit, Perfect Wedding, opened Friday, November 13, at the Bickford Theatre, 6 Normandy Heights Road, in Morristown, NJ. Directed by Eric Hafen, Bickford Theatre's Artistic Director, Perfect Wedding will play the New Jersey venue at the Morris Museum through December 6.
Perfect Wedding stars Teddy Alvaro as Bill, Kevin Sebastian as Tom, Jenny Peters as Rachel, Dayna Grayber as Julie, Katelin Wilcox as Judy, and Teri Sturtevant as Daphne.
Bells are ringing--but not for long --when the groom wakes up with an extremely attractive naked stranger in his bridal suite bed, the best man can't find his girlfriend, and the bride just wants to take a bath! Perfect Wedding's creative team includes scenic designer Jim Bazewicz, costume designer Fran Harrison, lighting designer Roman Klima, sound designer Ric McAllister, and properties master Heather Sehrt. Yumi Matsuura will serve as production stage manager.
Teddy Alvaro made his Broadway opposite Anthony LaPaglia and Mercedes Ruehl in The Rose Tattoo. Other New York credits include Catch 22 at the Lucille Lortel, Savage in Limbo, The Elephant Man, and Measure for Measure. Dayna Grayber appeared in the National Tours of The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee and The Producers. She recently starred in the critically acclaimed NYC production of Perfect Wedding at the Bleecker Street Theater as Julie. Katelin Wilcox has been seen in Regional Theatre productions of Doubt, Comedy of Errors, and Noises Off, as well as the Shakespeare Theatre of New Jersey's productions of Pride and Prejudice, Cymbeline, A Midsummer Night's Dream, and Comedy of Errors.
Kevin Sebastian is a member of NJ Repertory, 12 Miles West, The Theater Project, & Tri-State Actors Theater. His New York credits include The Importance of Being Earnest, Dark of the Moon, The Eight: Reindeer Monologues, Waiting for the Bus (American Globe Theatre Best Actor Award), Complete Works of Shakespeare Abridged, The Wizard of Oz, and a 3-pack of Off and Off-Off B'way Shakespeare at the American Theatre of Actors. Jenny Peters has been seen in the National Tour of 42nd Street (u/s Peggy Sawyer) as well as in American Musical Celebration (Wisconsin Dells, WI). Regionally, Jenny has performed in Dames At Sea (Joan), George M! (Josie), and Annie Get Your Gun (Winnie). Teri Sturtevant is a member of NJ Rep, and has worked on other New Jersey professional stages including Dreamcatcher Repertory Theatre, What Exit? Theatre Company, Forum Theatre, The Theater Project, 12 Miles West, and Alliance Repertory Theatre Company.
Performances are Thursdays at 8 p.m. (1st two weeks) and 2 p.m (final week), Fridays and Saturdays at 8 p.m., and Sundays at 2 p.m. Please note: there are no performances on Thanksgiving, Thursday, Nov. 26. Tickets range from $40 to $20. Lunch and dinner packages and group discounts are available.
