George Li is one of five recipients of a 2016 Avery Fisher Career Grant. He recently returned from Russia, where he performed as part of the Stars on Baikal concert showcasing the winners of the XV International Tchaikovsky Competition. Li was among the soloists who participated in Folk, Form, and Fire, an evening of Prokofiev's piano concertos at the
Brooklyn Academy Of Music.
The NJPAC program also includes Ravel's poetic Shéhérazade, ouverture de féerie and
Leonard Slatkin's Kinah, a musical elegy dedicated to his musician parents.
