Fair Lawn Recreation Department's resident theatre company Old Library Theatre (OLT) presents "Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat," the six-time Tony Award nominated musical with lyrics by Tim Rice and music by Andrew Lloyd Webber.

Under the direction of Mac McCormick, "Joseph…" will be performed at the George Frey Center for Art & Recreation at the Fair Lawn Recreation Center in Fair Lawn from July 27 to August 5, with shows at 8pm on Fridays and Saturdays and 2pm on Sundays. Tickets can be purchased by calling 201-797-3553 or by visiting the box office at the center prior to each performance.

The Biblical saga of Joseph and his coat of many colors comes to vibrant life in this delightful musical parable. Joseph, his father's favorite son, is a boy blessed with prophetic dreams. When he is sold into slavery by his jealous brothers and taken to Egypt, Joseph endures a series of adventures in which his spirit and humanity are continually challenged. He is purchased by Potiphar where thwarting advances from Potiphar's wife lands him in jail. When news of Joseph's gift to interpret dreams reaches the Pharaoh (wryly and riotously depicted as Elvis), Joseph is well on his way to becoming second in command. Set to an engaging cornucopia of musical styles, from country-western and calypso to bubble-gum pop and rock 'n' roll, this Old Testament tale emerges both timely and timeless.

"Joseph…" is directed by Mac McCormick of New Milford who previously directed "Cinderella" for OLT. Musical direction is by Charles Santoro of Wayne. Choreography is by Carrie Nagy of Mount Olive.

The large and talented cast stars Phil Sloves as Joseph and includes Paul Aiello, Nicole Crilly, Ron Fraioli, Mollie Gash, Aaron Gordon, Sara Gordon, Bryant Hunter, Megan Kohler, Chuck LaCorte, Hui-Lian Leo, Alessandro LoMartire, Maddie Murillo, Carrie Nagy, Erik O'Connell, Eric Parkin, Danielle Petrucelli, Mel Powers, Kate Revell, Daniel Robbins, Karen Thomas, Pia Vanderstreet and Teresa Wittleder.
