New Jersey Performing Arts Center Announces CLASSICAL 4 KIDS Concert

New Jersey Performing Arts Center in Newark, New Jersey announces "Classical 4 Kids" where young people age 18 and under can see a participating classical show for FREE when accompanied by a full-paying adult. Kids will be enlightened Hungary's acclaimed orchestra, Budapest Festival Orchestra performing the Fifth Symphony in an all-Beethoven program, featuring pianist Richard Goode on Saturday, February 4th at 8pm.

Orchestre National de Lyon featuring 21-year-old George Li hailed as one of the greatest pianists in the world will make his debut at NJPAC. Li was recently recognized as a Silver medalist in the 2015 International Tchaikovsky Competition and winner of the prestigious XIV Concours International Grand Prix Animato 2014 Paris. Li's regarded as one of the world's most talented and creative young pianists and will perform at NJPAC with the prestigious Orchestre National de Lyon Saturday, February 19th at 3pm.

Budapest Festival Orchestra
Saturday, February 4th at 8pm
No other musical statement can match its raw power and bracing energy. The acclaimed Budapest Festival Orchestra performs Beethoven's Fifth Symphony, concluding this all-Beethoven program featuring legendary pianist Richard Goode. "On both nights," The New York Times raved, "There was no better orchestra on the planet. Played under the inspired leadership of one of its founders, Iván Fischer.

Twenty-year-old George Li is one of five recipients of a 2016 Avery Fisher Career Grant. He recently returned from Russia, where he performed as part of the Stars on Baikal concert showcasing the winners of the XV International Tchaikovsky Competition. Li was among the soloists who participated in Folk, Form, and Fire, an evening of Prokofiev's piano concertos at the Brooklyn Academy Of Music.
The NJPAC program also includes Ravel's poetic Shéhérazade, ouverture de féerie and Leonard Slatkin's Kinah, a musical elegy dedicated to his musician parents.
