The New Jersey Hall of Fame (NJHOF) announces the launch of the nation's first mobile Hall of Fame Museum with a public unveiling and ceremony today, June 24, 11:00am, at the Flag Plaza in Liberty State Park in Jersey City. The ceremony will honor Hall of Fame inductees and sponsors and features inductee, Astronaut Buzz Aldrin. A series of other media events follow at the Trenton Statehouse on June 25, the Atlantic City Air Show on June 26, and the Thomas Edison National Historical Park on June 27.

Designed by famed architect and NJHOF inductee Michael Graves, and renowned museum exhibition designer, Ralph Appelbaum Associates, the Mobile Museum offers a dramatic multimedia exhibition created around the theme - "Make a Difference." Through images, artifacts, film, and interactive elements, visitors can explore the ways that Hall of Fame inductees have changed the state and the world: as innovators, as leaders, and as voices for the voiceless-often against overwhelming odds. And they'll be invited to consider how they, too, can make a difference in our world. Displays will rotate on an ongoing basis to highlight new Hall of Fame inductees.

New Jersey Hall of Fame Commission Chairman Bart Oates notes the significance of the Mobile Museum, "The New Jersey Hall of Fame honors citizens who have made invaluable contributions to society and the world beyond. Now the Mobile Museum brings this honor to our schools, and reinforces the message to children that they can and should strive for excellence in any endeavor of their choosing."

"This is a field trip on wheels," says John Keegan, Chairman-Emeritus of the New Jersey Hall of Fame Foundation Board. "We are introducing students to the fascinating stories and inspiration of New Jersey Hall of Fame inductees while simultaneously enhancing New Jersey pride and community involvement statewide."

"The NJHOF owes a great deal of gratitude to the financial supporters of the mobile museum. Their generosity enabLes Children and people of all ages to have a place where they can dream about their futures, a place that inspires them to strive for their highest self," adds Steve Edwards, President of the New Jersey Hall of Fame Foundation Board.

The lead Sponsor for the Mobile Museum is the Northeast Regional Council of Carpenters. Major sponsors include Aetna, BGIA, CohnReznick LLP, Diversified Systems, Edison Innovation Foundation, Johnson & Johnson, Michael Graves & Associates, New Jersey Motion Picture & Television Commission, New Jersey School Boards Association Insurance Group, NJEA, PNC Bank, PSE&G, The Horizon Foundation for New Jersey, and Vanik Interactive.
