MAD Event Management, the leading producers of national pop-culture events, today announced that former Editor-in-Chief of Marvel Comics and one of the longest-tenured editors in the company's history, Tom DeFalco, will be appearing at New Jersey Comic Expo November 18 and 19 for panel discussions and autograph sessions. DeFalco is appearing at NJCE in partnership with Apex Comics Group.
"We're excited to have Tom as a guest at this week's New Jersey Comic Expo. He embodies the creativity and brilliance of this industry and his appearance will be one of the highlights of the weekend," says Martha Donato, Founder and Executive Director of New Jersey Comic Expo. Tom DeFalco was responsible for steering the adventures of the Marvel Universe's most popular characters, such as THE AVENGERS, SPIDER-MAN, THE FANTASTIC FOUR, and dozens of others. He has also personally written all one hundred issues of the much-loved SPIDER-GIRL, and popular runs of THE THING, THE MIGHTY THOR, and THE AMAZING SPIDER-MAN.
As one of a very small number of people to be given the title of Editor-in-Chief of Marvel after the legendary Stan Lee, DeFalco was a logical choice to participate in the award-winning Stan Lee'S GOD WOKE, a lavishly illustrated and timeless tale of humanity's search for meaning ... and a fresh take on God's own search for same. DeFalco will participate in a panel celebrating the Stan Lee project at NJCE.
DeFalco joins a roster of top-tier guests that include the already-announced Gail Simone, Jae Lee, Shane "The Hurricane" Helms, Ethan Van Sciver, Kevin Maguire, Keith Giffen, Amy Chu, Colleen Doran, Scott Lobdell, Garth Ennis, Arthur Suydam, Lua Stardust, Erica Schultz, Joseph Michael Linsner, Laney Feni, Kit Candela, Scott Hanna, Sholly Fisch, Ashley Du, Dangrrr Doll, Michelle Delecki, Kristina Deak-linsner, Len Daniels, Dennis Calero, Jim Calafiore, Sean Chen, Bernie Bregman, Meredith Finch, David Gallaher, Larry Hama, Scott Koblish, Greg Land, Ron Marz, Rags Morales, Mark Morales, Stuart Moore, Marat Mychaels, Mariano Nicieza, Jerry Ordway, Tom Raney, and Jeffery Shultz.
