St. Philip's players, formerly Blue State Productions, in residence at St. Philip in Clifton NJ, announces its production of the musical NUNSENSE!. Nunsense is a hilarious spoof about the misasdventures of five nuns holding a fundraiser after Sister Julia, child of God, killed them while accidentally poisoning dinner. The nuns that remain attempt to perform a talent show to raise money to bury the dead sisters.
The show features Erica Kresch of Hawthorne, Nancy Mandel Back of Fair Lawn, Evie Turner Salerno of the Township of Washington, Nikki Simz of Pompton Lakes, and Luisa Fuentes of Florida NY. The talents of these 5 women will truly entertain, make you laugh with irreverent humor, and will bring the audience back to a time when nuns ruled the Catholic schools with discipline and dedication. If you are longing for a journey back in time, revisiting the antics of clickers and the smacking of rulers, join us for a truly wonderful evening of outstanding vocal, comedic timing and nun dance! Musical direction is under the professional care of Michael Caldwell, co produced by Denise Pannullo, and directed by Joseph Schreck, Jr.
