NJPAC to Present 'Spotlight Gala 2008' with Bernadette Peters Tonight, 10/4

Tonight, October 4th, 2008 New Jersey Performing Arts Center will present their Spotlight Gala 2008, featuring Bernadette Peters
   
NJPAC’s Spotlight Gala 2008 is a black-tie event featuring a performance by Tony and Grammy-winning Broadway legend Bernadette Peters. Individual tickets begin at $1,000. Table Sponsorships (for 10 attendees) begin at $15,000. All tickets include cocktail reception (5:30pm), Spotlight Awards Ceremony and performance (7:00pm), dinner and dancing, a silent auction, NJPAC’s annual Fireworks Extravaganza, and valet parking.

Peters was most recently seen in the season premiere espisode of "Grey's Anatomy" and the upcoming Lifetime movie "Living Proof".

A two-time Tony-winner for Song and Dance and Annie Get Your Gun, Peters has also received Tony nominations for her performances in the 1972 revival of On the Town, Mack and Mabel, Sunday in the Park with George, The Goodbye Girl and the 2003 revival of Gypsy. She also originated the role of the Witch in Into the Woods, and has appeared in such films as Slaves of New York, Alice, The Jerk and It Runs in the Family. She also appeared in the Carnegie Hall staged concert production of Anyone Can Whistle.  Her latest recording, "Sondheim Etc., Etc.--Bernadette Peters Live at Carnegie Hall (The Rest of It)," is currently available in stores.
