"New Jersey-based writers and theatres play a large role on the national new play development stage," said John Pietrowski, Artistic Director of Playwrights Theatre, who is coordinating the effort. "New Plays New Jersey is a showcase of these writers and the New Jersey theatres that develop and produce their work. This weeklong series of staged readings in the intimate setting of the Morris Museum will provide a glimpse of the quality and depth of plays that make New Jersey the Garden State of new work."
