Join us at the Bickford Theatre for a performance featuring Irish music, history and laughter. The Morris Museum is pleased to announce that An Irish Journey, the Bravo Alliance of Performing Artists Spring Concert, will be held on Sunday, March 30, 2014 at 3:00pm.

Irish tenor Timothy Liam Smith will combine his marvelous voice, great stories and quick wit to keep your toes tapping and your hands clapping. The concert will include a tapestry of songs and stories about the people and homeland of the Irish emigrant. It will feature art songs, examples from the Tin Pan Alley American era, rebel songs and beloved contemporary pieces. Mother Machree, How Are Things in Glocca Morra, Roisin Dubh, When Irish Eyes Are Smiling, Too Ra Loo Ra Loo Ral, and The Fields of Athenry will all be included. Smith will be accompanied on piano by David Maiullo.

A theatrical artist since the age of five, Timothy Liam Smith is a lifelong stage performer. His experience includes dozens of television commercials, local and regional theatre, operas and night club performances. Smith was named #1 First Tenor in the New Jersey All-State Chorus and was the recipient of first prize in the New Jersey Young Filmmakers Festival. His many performances have made him one of the northeast's best known Irish-American Tenors.

Smith studied voice with Dita Delman and Peter Gillis, and theatrical performance and Irish Stage with James P. McGlone, Artistic Director of the Celtic Theatre and a former professor at Seton Hall University.
