The Montclair Film Festival (MFF) previously announced a one-night-only live event: Jon Stewart IN CONVERSATION WITH Stephen Colbert tonight, December 7, 2012 (Doors: 7:00 PM, Show: 8:00 PM) at the Wellmont Theatre in downtown Montclair, NJ, with support from Audi and Investors Bank.
The event is a rare, live joint performance by Emmy® and Peabody® award-winner
Jon Stewart, host, writer and executive producer of Comedy Central’s “The Daily Show,” and Emmy® and Peabody® award-winner
Stephen Colbert, host, writer and executive producer of Comedy Central’s “The Colbert Report.”
"I can't wait to interview Jon and blow the lid off the fraud he's perpetrated on the American people.” said Colbert. “I just found out The Daily Show is fake news."
Tickets (priced at $175.00, $150.00, $110.00, $75.00 and $50.00) are available via
The Wellmont's website. In addition, a limited number of $250 VIP tickets may be purchased through
MFF. Proceeds from the event will support the non-profit Montclair Film Festival, set to return for its second run in May 2013.
“We’re thrilled to have
Jon Stewart and
Stephen Colbert – two of America’s top social and comedic voices – donate their time and talent to support the Montclair Film Festival with a performance right here in Montclair,” said MFF Chairman
Bob Feinberg. “Their commitment to this community-based, non-profit film festival is a great example for all of us who want to see the arts thrive in Montclair and the surrounding communities.
The performance, entitled “
Jon Stewart in Conversation with
Stephen Colbert” is a conversation between the two men, during which they will share anecdotes, insights and clips from “The Daily Show” and “The Colbert Report,” on the heels of the presidential election. This event is made possible, in part, through support from Audi and Investors Bank.
