Mile Square Theatre and CSBK are pleased to announce a new partnership just as the community bank opens its new location in Hoboken.
In early April, Mile Square Theatre will open its new performing arts center at The Artisan, a few blocks from CSBK's Hoboken banking center, which opened earlier this year. CSBK will be the headline sponsor for the theatre's first production in the new space, Goodnight Moon. Goodnight Moon is
Chad Henry's adaptation of the well-known children's book by Margaret Wise Brown.
CSBK's generous gift of $15,000 will support Mile Square Theatre's first season at The Artisan, which includes five mainstage productions, plus a host of other events. Members of the theatre's creative leadership, administrative staff, and Board of Trustees welcomed CSBK executives to the nearly-complete facility on February 22, 2016.
"We are very excited to launch our season and open our new theatre withGoodnight Moon," says Mile Square Theatre Artistic Director Chris O'Connor. "We have a reputation for producing high quality theatre for young audiences every season, and we think this show is a great way to welcome the community-both young and old-into the space. We're grateful that CSBK has agreed to sponsor the show; partnerships with businesses in Hoboken not only support our organization, but benefit the community at large. And we're happy about the arrival of CSBK in our city, and to see that they are eager to invest in the cultural assets of Hoboken as community partners."
Paul Aguggia, CSBK Chairman and CEO stated, "The dedication and excitement of everyone involved in this project give rise to the positive impact the new performing arts center will have in Hoboken and Hudson County. CSBK is proud to be Mile Square Theatre's first Platinum Sponsor for its inaugural year in their new space and we look forward to serving the Hoboken community for years to come."
Goodnight Moon, directed by Mile Square Theatre's Associate Artistic Director Mark Cirnigliaro and produced by O'Connor, is a musical, brought to life with a cast of professional actors, puppets, and stage magic that will delight kids of all ages.
