McCarter Theatre Center is proud to welcome 24 local community members who will make up the inaugural Community Ensemble for its production of A Christmas Carol. McCarter will be renewing an annual tradition this December with a reimagined version of Dickens' immortal tale of redemption.

As part of this new theatrical endeavor, the Community Ensemble will bring the story to life alongside a company of professional performers. This diverse and enthusiastic group will fill the streets of London, dance with the Fezziwigs, carol at Scrooge's doorstep, and bring Christmas cheer to every corner of the theater.

Members of the Adult Community Ensemble are:

- Linda Palmarozza of Ambler, NJ

- Kirk Ponton, Tara Parkman, Amy Blair, and Nicholas Andrejco of Ewing, NJ

- Arielle Rabano and Ithamar Francois of Hillsborough, NJ

- Emily Solo and Jeffrey Kroll of Pennington, NJ

- Scott Karlin of Plainsboro, NJ

- Connor Crafton Marrone, Elias Malavet, and Lew Gatwerk of Princeton, NJ

- Shan Raju, Sakshi S. Nathan, and Thom V. Kummerle of Princeton Junction, NJ

- Ashley Lynn Medina of Skillman, NJ

- Gloria Schnure and Marie Fiorello of Somerset, NJ

- ByrannA Martinez-Jimenez and Faith E. Iloka of Trenton, NJ

- Camillo Lazarczyk of Whitehorse, NJ

- Kristin Devine of Washington Crossing, NJ

- Rupal Patel of West Windsor, NJ

About the new Community Ensemble, director Adam Immerwahr says: "The genesis of this production was realizing that we could use McCarter's annual A Christmas Carol as a way to involve the greater-Princeton area in the creation of a beloved story that is shared back with the community every year. At the core is a group of professional artists, around whom we've integrated a terrific team of local artists to create a new version of Dickens' classic tale of how one man's actions (and redemption) can impact an entire community. I'm thrilled with the group we've assembled, which is representative of central New Jersey's many communities-and I'm delighted to share the production soon!"

Adult Community Ensemble (aged 14 and up) members were chosen from among hundreds of
local residents who took part in interest and casting sessions at multiple locations earlier in the year.

Casting for the Youth Community Ensemble will take in early fall of 2016. Please visit www.mccarter.org/achristmascarol for more information.
