MY BIG GAY ITALIAN CHRISTMAS Comes to the Golden Nugget in July

My Big Gay Italian Christmas" is officially set to open for a Christmas in July weekend on July 28th, 8pm 2018, at the Golden Nugget in Atlantic City and will play in the Showroom. The show previewed last December at the same property and after receiving rave reviews is set for an early open this summer. An Opening Night press party is scheduled on the same evening outdoors on the Dock immediately following the performance.

An open casting call will be held at the casino property on May 11th from 1pm - 8pm, and will include a select panel including Anthony J. Wilkinson the creator and author of the Big Gay Italian Trilogy. This is the first time ever the Golden Nugget has ever hosted an open casting call event.

The follow up to the Big Gay Italian Trilogy, (My Big Gay Italian Wedding, My Big Gay Italian Funeral, My Big Gay Italian Midlife Crisis) Wilkinson has created a Christmas show designed specifically to play for the holiday season. "A bisexual love triangle, political conversations gone spoiled, a variety of over the top characters and the snow storm of the century are just a few of the ingredients of this Big Gay Italian Christmas lasagna." Said Wilkinson of what's to come in this chapter as always loosely based on his own life. The three-time Daytime Emmy winner who is no stranger to the stage, was last year appointed as the Executive and Artistic Director of the new Avenel Arts Center scheduled to open in the fall of this year.

Fan favorite characters Anthony Pinnunziato (Wilkinson) and Aunt Toniann (Debra Toscano) are set to return this summer, as is Kim Pirrella ("Real Housewives of New Jersey") in the role of "Olivia Tuttarosa," and the Queen of Freestyle, Judy Torres who is making her return to the Atlantic City stage in the role of "Officer Rodriguez." All other roles will be scouted and cast after the Casting Call on May 11th at the Golden Nugget.

Presented by Bianco Productions, "My Big Gay Italian Christmas" will be directed by Sonia Blangiardo and Teresa Anne Cicala. The show is under the General Management of 22Q Entertainment.
