The Lyrica Chamber Orchestra will soon present "Music that Makes us Dance" as it kicks off its 22nd season on September 28th. The Orchestra will perform Aaron Copland's Pulitzer prizewinning ballet suite Appalachian Spring as well as a tribute to the American Songbook created by Broadway's legendary composers and lyricists. The performance will be at 3:00 PM on Sunday, September 28 at the Presbyterian Church of Chatham Township at 240 Southern Boulevard in Chatham.

Joining the Lyrica Chamber Orchestra for this performance is the critically acclaimed Broadway singer Mara Davi. Ms. Davi's recent Broadway credits include Janet Van De Graaff in The Drowsy Chaperone and Maggie Winslow in the revival of A Chorus Line.

About her collaboration with Lyrica, Ms. Davi said, "I am thrilled to be a part of Lyrica's opening concert and to be performing music dearest to my heart: the classic Broadway songbook."

This concert will also be the first for Lyrica's new Artistic Director and conductor Adam Waite. Mr. Waite is a versatile conductor and composer, who has been guest conductor for the Ocean Grove Choir Festival, the College of New Jersey Festival Ensemble, and the Henri Mancini Institute Orchestra. In addition, he presently serves as Director of Music at the Presbyterian Church of Chatham Township.

Tickets are available by calling 973-701-1734 or by visiting the Lyrica web site at www.lyricacm.org. Tickets are $25 and $20 for seniors. Free student tickets are available thirty minutes prior to the start of the concert, with valid ID.
