Luna Stage continues the second season of its jazz series, "Music In The Moonlight" with pianist and composer Diane Moser in a tribute to Jaki Byard on Sunday, March 10 @ 7pm. Ms. Moser will be joined by bassist Andy Eulau and drummer Scott Neumann. Tickets are on sale now ($18 in advance, $20 at the door) and can be purchased in person, over the phone at 973-395-5551, or on the Luna Stage website:www.lunastage.org.

While attending graduate school in the 1980s at the Manhattan School of Music, Diane Moser studied with Jaki Byard, a pianist and composer who had a diverse repertoire, ranging from ragtime and stride to modern jazz. Last year, Moser led a big band tribute to Byard at Trumpets Jazz Club in Montclair. At 7 p.m. on March 10, as part of the second season of the Luna Stage Music in the Moonlight jazz series, Moser will lead a trio in tribute to Byard, who she described to baristanet.com as "one of a kind, a true National Treasure and living history of jazz." Ben Ratliff of The New York Times has described Moser as "an unfazable booster of improvised music."

This concert marks the sixth appearance for Ms. Moser at Luna Stage. Most recently, she performed at the 2010 Gala opening for Luna Stage at its present location.
