A Rockin' Holiday Celebration comes to the Union County Performing Arts Center on Friday, December 7, 2012.
There's no better way to ring in the holiday season than with live music from Lou christie, Jimmy Beaumont & The Skyliners, Emil Stucchio & The Classics and more! Headliner and Hit Parade Hall of Fame Inductee Lou christie's chart topping, multi-million selling career as a songwriter, recording artist, and performer started in a two-track studio in Glenwillard Pennsylvania, his rural hometown near Pittsburgh. Christie's first million selling song, The Gypsy Cried transformed a local choirboy into a national teen idol, while still a teenager himself. Christie followed this success with Two Faces Have I, Lightning Strikes, Rhapsody in the Rain and I’m Gonna Make You Mine.
Jimmy Beaumont & The Skyliners, fronted by original member Jimmy Beaumont, are best known for their 1959 hit Since I Don't Have You. They also hit the Top 40 with This I Swear and Pennies From Heaven. Other classics include It Happened Today, Close Your Eyes, Comes Love and Where Have They Gone.
